MASTER’S PROGRAM – SPECIALIZATION IN CITY DESIGN
The specialization of the Department of Urban Planning and Design has the goal of giving enrolling students insight and professional skills connected to urban design, urban planning and corresponding other fields of urban activities. The complex program integrates Hungarian and international experiences and is based on the highly competent and diverse background of the Department.

COURSES OF THE SECOND SEMESTER IN THE CITY DESIGN SPECIALIZATION
- City Design 1 (BMEEPUIM1V1) – 2 credits – LINK – lecturer: Arpad SZABO
- Complex (Comprehensive) Design 1 (BMEEPUIM1Kx) – 10 credits – LINK – lecturer: Arpad SZABO, Flóra PERÉNYI
- Urban research (BMEEPUIM1V3) – 4 credits – Research topics connected to the Complex Design course – lecturer: Julianna SZABO + invited consultants
- Environmental Design (BMEEPUIM1V2) – 4 credits – integrated with “Department Design 1” – lecturer: Gergely HORY
- Urbanism (BMEEPUI0805) – 2 credits – integrated with “Urban development: analysis, planning, management” – lecturer: Julianna SZABO + invited lecturers
- Sociology for Architects (course of the Department of Sociology and Communication – the exact course will be defined later) – 2 credits – lecturer: Janos Balazs KOCSIS

- City Design 2 (BMEEPUIM2V1) – 6 credits (2 credits theory / 4 credits practical) – lecturer: Balint KADAR
- Studies for Chief Architects (BMEEPUIM2V2) – 5 credits – lecturer: Kornélia KISSFAZEKAS
- Hungarian Cities – 2 credits -integrated with “Hungarian cities: urban culture and planning” – lecturer: Kornélia KISSFAZEKAS
- Cities of the World (part of the Urbanism block – BMEEPUI0893) – 2 credits – lecturer: Gábor SOÓKI-TÓTH
