Népszínház building camp / June 10-14, 2025

NÉPSZÍNHÁZ building camp

Connected to the DUT Inclusive City international project (LINK), we are organising a building camp in Népszínház Street on the theme of Placemaking (LINK) in collaboration with KÉK (Contemporary Architecture Centre) and RÉV8 Zrt.

The site of the camp is the former Post Office at 42-44 Népszínház utca, and the aim is to create outdoor or indoor works that follow the logic of Placemaking and help to address local social groups.

Time of the Building Camp – 10-14 June 2025.

The Builders’ Camp will be immediately preceded by a ‘house festival’ organised as part of the BP100 series of events on 22-25 May.
You can get involved in the preparation of the building camp by planning interventions in public spaces, but you can also participate by building your own interventions or those proposed by others during the camp.
Participation in the builders’ camp will be certified by the Department of Urbanism as a one-week on-site practice.

To apply for the programme, contact Imre Varga at the Department of Urban Planning and Design in person or by email at: vizurb@gmail.com
