GRAZ / STUDY-TRIP / 2024. MARCH 15-16.
The Department of Planning and Design is organising a two-day study trip to Graz, March 15-16, 2024 (Friday and Saturday).
The themes of the trip are innovative urban developments, contemporary buildings, public spaces and sustainable developments in areas off the beaten tourist track. The professional bus tour will be followed by a free programme in the city centre in Graz.
The planned programme:
- 15 March (Friday)
- 6:00 Budapest – departure from the University;
- 9:30-13:00 Germanújvár (Güssing), the energy-conscious small town;
- 15:00 – 17:00 professional programme in Graz with the bus;
- From 18:00 onwards, check-in and free time.
- 16 March (Saturday)
- 8:30-14:30 professional programme with the bus and free time in Graz at lunch;
- 16:30-19:00 short bus professional programme and free time in WienerNeustadt;
- around 23:00 arrival in Budapest, in front of the university.
All are welcome, whatever their subject.
The study trip is open to all students; the programme will start if at least 32 students apply.
Costs of the study trip:
- Cost of the bus trip 22.000 HUF/person
- The cost of accommodation is €33 per person per day on average.
- The above amount does not include entrance fees for optional programmes and meals. Meals are provided by each individual during the free programme.
Students of the specialization UrbanDesign can receive a minimum grant of 10.000 HUF from the Foundation for Urban Architecture and the Real Estate Development Round Table Association (the exact amount will be determined based on the number of participants) if they apply for the trip by 21 February 2024.
You can register at the Department of Urban Studies secretariat by paying 12.000 HUF (which will be refunded in case of cancellation only if you can find a substitute participant).
