Facing Post-Socialist Urban Heritage \/ the proceedings of the international conference have been published<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Department of Urban Planning and Design at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) organised the latest event in its international conference series, entitled Facing Post-Socialist Urban Heritage, on October 9-11, 2025. The doctoral conference was attended by young researchers from various doctoral schools of architecture and\/or urban planning in 14 European countries, who compared the urban planning and design challenges of post-socialist cities in Central and Eastern Europe.<\/p>\n

As a summary of the conference, an open-access volume of proceedings has now been published, containing 29 research articles. The studies were peer reviewed by the conference’s international scientific board in several rounds prior to publication. The e-book format collection of studies, which has its own ISBN number, is freely available at the link below and can be downloaded by anyone interested:
