> Borderlines: The BETA Architectural Biennale<\/strong> is gaining an increasing international reputation. The purpose of the civil-based project is to explore the dimensions of the community architecture. The results of the contemporary Romanian architecture and their thematic representation are before the Hungarian architecture, and it is worthwhile to get to know their planning and community strategies more closely. In 2019, the BETA project announces an international student competition for the renewal of the city of Oradea. Students from the countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) will have the opportunity to compare different planning strategies.<\/p>\n

> Scale changes: The cross-border zone of Oradea is an experimental laboratory for urban planning where planned interventions provide model situations. How can we create a different scale design concept with a single character? What are the different points of view of human perception in the multiple-scale practice of urban planning and architecture? When constructing the models, it is necessary to re-interpret the ecological concept of the recently discovered “neighborhood units”. Everyday activities can be placed on pedestrian routes and positioned with different scopes, which places more emphasis on the creative design of public spaces. In the revitalization of abandoned, injured spatial situations of the area, the walk can appear as a design tool for identity.<\/p>\n

> Different positions: In the classroom, Hungarian students are also involved, which gives the opportunity to compare different perspectives, visions and exchange of experiences.<\/p>\n

> Studytrip: At the beginning of the semester, we plan a two-day trip to explore the region of Oradea beyond the border.<\/p>\n

A modellek fel\u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9s\u00e9n\u00e9l sz\u00fcks\u00e9ges a k\u00f6zelm\u00faltban \u00fajra felfedezett \u201eszomsz\u00e9ds\u00e1gi egys\u00e9gek\u201d \u00f6kol\u00f3giai gondolat\u00e1nak \u00fajra\u00e9rtelmez\u00e9se is. \n<\/strong>Budapest, J\u00f3zsefv\u00e1ros, N\u00e9psz\u00ednh\u00e1z utca\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

N\u00e9psz\u00ednh\u00e1z street is the most multicultural place in Budapest, might be the only one able to make visitors wonder in which global city they arrived to. The original line of this street was traced by the paths and markets of livestock, it was always a periphery inhabited by lower income people, but already 100 years ago it was the place where even the most remote nationalities were trading goods. Since then an architecture evoking a vibrant metropolis surrounded the traditional shops and marketplace, still Budapest couldn’t take advantage of the real potentials of this poor, but vibrant multicultural neighborhood. For this city it is just as strange to hear so many Asian and African words on a street than to have this oblique street itself in the regular urban network of Pest. But this unique character might be the great possibility of this city to have its missing multicultural neighborhood, where every citizen of Budapest could find something genuinely new to explore and enjoy.<\/div>\n

Az utca vonal\u00e1t eredetileg az \u00e1llatkeresked\u00e9s \u00fatvonalai \u00e9s piacai hat\u00e1rozt\u00e1k meg, az\u00f3ta mindig a szeg\u00e9nyebb r\u00e9tegek lakt\u00e1k, \u00e1m m\u00e1r sz\u00e1z \u00e9vvel ezel\u0151tt is k\u00fcl\u00f6nb\u00f6z\u0151 t\u00e1voli n\u00e1ci\u00f3k kereskedtek itt. Viszont Budapest m\u00e1ig nem fedezte fel mag\u00e1nak ebben a szeg\u00e9nyebb, de \u00e9lettel teli belv\u00e1rosias k\u00f6rny\u00e9kben rejl\u0151 igazi lehet\u0151s\u00e9geket. Tal\u00e1n mert ugyan olyan szokatlan a sok \u00e1zsiai \u00e9s afrikai sz\u00f3, mint amilyen szokatlanul metszi \u00e1t a pesti v\u00e1rossz\u00f6vetet ez az \u0151si ferde v\u00e1rosi tengely.
